The Running Dead - A Unique Experience in Wichita Falls

The Running Dead is an experience like none other ever to happen in Wichita Falls! Prepare yourself to face the horrors of the living dead as you navigate through a zombie filled course to reach the finish line. But beware, another challenge awaits you there!

Our zombie course will not be for the faint hearted with zombies lurking around every corner, you will need to be quick on your feet and use your wits to survive! But this event is so much more than just the zombie run.

 

This is a community effort event, completely free to the public to enter. The kids corner will feature lots of fun activities like pumpkin catapults and face painting! Live musicians and artists will be scattered all around downtown. There are talks of a PUB CRAWL and party sites being added to the list of fun things to do! Downtown businesses will be handing out candy for the trick or treaters and so much more! Be sure to grab one of the onsite maps to see what each business has waiting for you.

  • Is this an all inclusive run?
    We will do our best to accommodate all of our participants.
  • I'm an artist, can I come set up a booth and sell my work?
    Yes! But please fill out the form for volunteers and we will contact you with set up information. Spaces will be numbered and reserved.
  • Is there real Zombies?
    Yes.
  • Will food trucks be invited?
    Food trucks will be set up in designated areas. The restaurants downtown would really like you to try out what they offer. Please visit them as well as your favorite food trucks!
  • Is the zombie run going to be the only event?
    Nope! Many of the downtown businesses will be participating by handing out candy, hosting activities, or some other big surprises! It's going to be an event that everyone can enjoy!
  • What if I'm in a wheelchair, can I participate in the course?
    ABSOLUTELY! We will provide an escort to make sure you make it to the end safely. But their life is at risk, too, so be sure to keep your eyes open for danger behind every corner!
  • Will there be candy?
    Yes.
